Fire Truck Puzzle

25 Feb

Weekly Brain Challenge

This week’s brain challenge is a Find the Difference puzzle with five changes.  All month we have been featuring puzzles with the color red to help promote Go Red for Women and American Heart Month.  Today’s puzzle is the last of our “red” posts and we think it’s a goodie – look at all that red!  And, female firefighters too!

While the progress has been significant over the past 10 years with creating awareness about heart disease in women, there’s a long way to go. Here’s why:
  • Heart disease is still the No. 1 killer of women, causing 1 in 3 deaths each year.
  • Heart disease kills more women than men, at an average rate of one death per minute.
  • Heart disease kills more women than all kinds of cancer combined.

We hope you will share this puzzle and help spread the word about women and heart disease!

Also, in honor of Go Red for Women and American Heart Month, notice what color our regal king is wearing 🙂

Amalfi Coast Puzzle

21 Jan

Weekly Brain Challenge

This week’s brain challenge is a Find the Difference puzzle with nine changes.  The picture in the puzzle comes from the beautiful Amalfi Coast in Italy.  Picturesque seaside towns nestled on the side of mountains are the main features of this enchanting landscape.  There are thirteen municipalities on the Amalfi Coast.  The one pictured below is the town of Amalfi, which is located about 30 miles south of Naples.  The town of Amalfi was the capital of the maritime republic known as the Duchy of Amalfi, an important trading power in the Mediterranean between 839 and around 1200.

Brain Training Puzzle

24 Dec

Weekly Brain Challenge

This week’s brain challenge is a Find the Difference puzzle with three changes.  On our website, you can play Find the Difference in Levels 1, 2, or 3.  Level 1 has three changes, Level 2 has five changes, and Level 3 has nine changes.

The picture in the puzzle below was taken in St. Marys, Georgia, a small town in the southeast corner of the state with a population of about 17,000.  The house in the picture is called Orange Hall.  The house was built in the early 1800’s and at the time it was a statement in modern architecture –  its style and scale unprecedented in St. Marys and along the lower Georgia coast.  See some more pictures of Orange Hall below the puzzle.

More pictures of Orange Hall:

The sign reads: “A fine ante bellum mansion built in the 1820’s and considered a perfect example of Greek Revival architecture. It was built for Rev. Horace Pratt by Jane Wood, his first wife’s family. “ORANGE HALL” received its name because of the orange trees planted around it.”
